Thursday 12 May, the mini-strides in the Black Mountain took place, reserved for primary schoolchildren from kindergarten to CM2.
M. Bonnal, USEP departmental delegate, in collaboration with National Education, led the 20 races of the day. This “competition” was reserved for students from the Montagne Noire, about 800 schoolchildren. The different races were under time contract : students run 6, 9 or 12 minutes.
Firefighters from the Cuxac-Cabardès rescue center, commanded by Lieutenant Nicolas Roger, were present to provide surveillance. Between the races, the schoolchildren were able to come and see the equipment, get into the ambulance and the pump-ton van truck, maybe there will be vocations ?
M. Bonnal thanked the town hall, represented by Paul Griffe mayor, for the provision of municipal services which secured by setting up diversions and managing access to the premises. A good day with good weather.
