City Day is one of the most favorite holidays of the residents of the capital; guests from other regions also come to celebrate it. The city hosts many themed events on the second weekend of September. In addition, on City Day, parks traditionally see off the summer season.
The festive program was prepared in Gorky Park, the parks “Northern Tushino”, “Sokolniki”, “Angarskiye Prudy”, “Krasnaya Presnya”, “Fili”, “Kuzminki”, the 50th anniversary of October, named after Yu. At 13:00 on September 9, a festive program will begin in Goncharovsky Park. Visitors will hear the musical compositions of orchestras, ensembles, groups and soloists, see choreographic numbers performed by creative teams, as well as a street performance for the whole family. The concert on the stage of the park will last until 21:00. On Sunday, September 10, from 15:00 to 20:00, the artists will congratulate the capital and its inhabitants with a musical program and other creative gifts.
In Tagansky Park, on the main stage from 13:00 to 21:00 on Saturday, you can see a family performance, hear songs performed by modern bands and soloists, concert performances by cover musicians, and also dance along with choreographic groups. The musical celebration on the occasion of the City Day will continue on Sunday from 15:00 to 20:00.
On Saturday, September 9, from 13:00 to 21:00 and on Sunday, September 10, from 15:00 to 20:00, cover bands, vocal-instrumental and dance groups will perform in the central part of Perovsky Park. On the first day, theater artists will also show a performance and miniatures for children and adults.
Street performances and bright interactive programs await guests of the Bauman Garden. On Saturday from 13:00 to 21:00 and Sunday from 15:00 to 20:00, vocal and instrumental ensembles, dance groups and cover bands will perform on the main stage of the Shell. In addition, during two days in the garden it will be possible to participate in thematic workshops.
Professional artists and musicians will delight children and adults with performances in the amphitheater of the Angarskiye Prudy park on September 9 from 13:00 to 21:00. In addition, everyone will be able to see a street theatrical performance and take part in it. On September 10, a festive musical program with the participation of cover bands, ensembles and an orchestra will be held from 15:00 to 20:00.
Lianozovsky Park invites you from 13:00 to 21:00 on Saturday and from 15:00 to 20:00 on Sunday for performances by cover performers and soloists, dance groups. Also on Saturday, you can visit an interactive performance for the whole family, which will be held in the open air, listen to the performances of the orchestra and choir. On both days the event will take place on the central square.
Guests of Sokolniki Park will be able to hear songs performed by cover bands and vocalists on Fontannaya Square. The concert program on Saturday will be held from 13:00 to 21:00, on Sunday – from 15:00 to 20:00.
Creative teams will perform on the stage of Vorontsovsky Park on Saturday from 13:00 to 21:00 and on Sunday from 15:00 to 20:00. Young spectators and their parents are waiting for performances by professional musicians – groups and soloists, interactive with artists. There will also be a street performance at the beginning of the concert on Saturday.
In the park of the 50th anniversary of October, on Saturday, September 9, the holiday will be held from 13:00 to 21:00, on Sunday, September 10, from 15:00 to 20:00. Choirs, vocal and instrumental groups will perform compositions about Moscow and other songs. There will also be professional dancers. In addition, a theatrical performance awaits guests on the first day of the festive event. The meeting point is Family Square.

The main stage of Kuzminki Park will host a large concert program with the participation of musical groups. In addition, theatrical performances and choreographic performances await the guests of the park. During classes dedicated to arts and crafts, children, together with their parents, will be able to work in the workshop, make souvenirs and gifts for loved ones. The concert and creative program on Saturday will be held from 13:00 to 21:00, on Sunday – from 15:00 to 20:00.
The Theater March, the largest open-air theater festival in Russia, will be held in the Hermitage Garden on Saturday from 12:00 to 23:00. Traditionally held on the birthday of the capital, this festival opens a new season in Moscow theaters. On Sunday from 15:00 to 20:00, a festive concert will take place on the layer stage of Schukinskaya Square, the program will include performances by creative teams and solo performers, Moscow DJs, dancers and musicians. In addition, visitors will be able to take part in original master classes in composing poems and songs about their beloved city with professional artists, mastering the art of scoring, freestyle with a ball, and creating author’s compositions using an interactive music audio system.
