The turning on the Christmas lights this Friday in Seville in more than 280 streets and squares bring a extensive program of activities related to Christmas for the whole family.
Friday September 26
Sevillians will be able to enjoy good music before power on, about the 18:15 hours. To whet your appetite, the City Council has prepared two concerts in the arquillo of the Town Hall, towards the Avenida de la Constitución, from Christmas songs and movie music by the Municipal Symphonic Band and the Nuestra Señora del Sol Music Band. The songs will be sung by the voice of Laura Gallego.
After the lighting, around 7:00 p.m., there will be a second concert in charge of the Symphonic Band and, later, the performance of the Our Lady of the Sun Music Band, which will feature the musical direction of Jorge Belda Mora and the solo singer for this concert Patricia Berbel. The repertoire will be related to the Christmas or Disney movies.
At South Polygon, the South district will organize the traditional party with musical performances and chocolate around the lighted tree that has been installed in the Glorieta Párroco Gabriel Ramos Chávez. The activities they will start at 18.30 and the lighting will also occur at 19.00 hours.
Saturday, November 27
On Saturday music will continue to be the protagonist in the city. The Arquillo del Ayuntamiento will once again be the stage for another concert with Christmas carols choirs from 5.30 pm. The first of the groups to act will be ‘Zambomba flamenca Andalusian charm’ Aires de Copla ‘ from the San Jerónimo neighborhood of the North district. Later, at 18.15 hours, it will be the turn of the Musical Association ‘Esencia de Triana’, from the Triana district. After their performance, the choirs ‘Parque Verde’ and ‘Estampa del Sur’, from the Este-Alcosa-Torreblanca district (7:00 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., respectively). Finally, from the Macarena district the ‘Canary Choir’ (8.30 pm).
Parade of music bands
On the same Saturday the city’s music bands will make a paradefrom 5:00 p.m. to 7:10 p.m. with the following route: Jardines de Murillo, San Fernando, Puerta de Jerez, Avenida de la Constitución, Santo Tomás, Miguel Mañara, Plaza del Triunfo, Plaza Virgen de los Reyes, Cardenal Carlos Amigo Vallejo, Alemanes and Avenida de la Constitución.

For Sunday the programming continues with concerts of music bands between 12.00 and 1.30 p.m.. At Paseo Marqués de Contadero the Cornet and Drum Band Centuria Romana Macarena; the Virgen de los Reyes Musical Group; and the Red Cross Youth Music Band, while in Puerta de Jerez the Agrupación Musical Mª Stma will do it. del Rocío; Cornet and Drum Band of the Christ of the Three Falls; and the Padre Jesús de la Redención Musical Group. Finally, in the Triumph Square, will perform the Agrupación Musical Mª Stma. from Las Angustias Coronada; Cornet and Drum Band of Our Lady of Victoria (Las Cigarreras); and the Padre Jesús de la Salud Musical Group.
