Concerts, a carnival, a children’s book fair… Here is our selection of outings for Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 January 2023, in Toulouse and even a little further!

#1. Music with Singing Detours

The Détours de chant festival continues until February 4, 2023. For its 22e edition, the festival settles in the halls of Toulouse and the metropolis. Several appointments are scheduled for the weekend. Crolles at the Théâtre du Grand Rond on Saturday at 7 p.m., Nothing Human Anymore, Saturday at 9 p.m. at the Cave po or even Yves Jamait at 5 p.m. at the Halle aux grains in Toulouse on Sunday.

#2. Reading with the Youth Book Festival

It’s a great meeting place for all children who love to read: the Occitanie 2023 youth fair is being held until Sunday January 29, 2023 in Saint-Orens-de-Gameville.

A children’s literature fair around the theme “It’s being built” with events, workshops, exhibitions, but above all authors and illustrators.

#3. Carnival atmosphere!

An afternoon around Latin-Caribbean carnivals is organized on Sunday at the Republic Pavilion, as part of the Cuba Hoy! On the program: carnival choreographies, musical and dancing conferences and even a grand Cuban ball.

#4. A little trip to the Lantern Festival

In Montauban, the public will be able to admire 2,500 lanterns from this Thursday until February 5, 2022.

Only a few days left to enjoy the Lantern Festival which is being held this year in Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne). Meet in the 4.7 hectares of Cour Foucault to discover the largest lantern park in Europe and a walk on the banks of the Yangsté, the theme of this edition.

#5. Taste a good cassoulet!

The best cassoulet in the world is in Toulouse! Romain Brard, the chef of the restaurant Genty Magre, in Toulouse, won the cassoulet world championship which was held on Monday January 23, 2023, in the Pink City. It’s time to go and taste this good comforting dish!

#6. A cartoon made in Toulouse
