Ludger Morck, born in 1962, began playing the piano at the age of seven. He played the organ for the first time at the age of 13 and was fascinated by this instrument from then on. After an initial desire to become an organ builder, after working intensively as an organist in St. Klara Duisburg-Kaldenhausen and St. Ludger Duisburg-Neudorf, he decided to train in church music at the St. Gregorius House in Aachen, which he completed in 1984 with the B exam completed. Since August 1984 he has been playing the organ in the Catholic parish of Christ the King in Duisburg-Rheinhausen, and in January 1986 he was employed as the parish’s full-time church musician. In 2003, as a result of the merger, he also took over most of the church music services in the parish of St. Ludger, and later also in the parishes of St. Barbara and St. Peter. In addition to concerts in his own community, he also plays regularly in church services and concerts as a soloist and as an accompanist for instrumentalists.
