The Covid-19 consultation center reopens in Colomiers. As last March, premises within the Capitany Sports Complex have been made available by the City of Colomiers so that medical referral consultations can be organized by the Colomiers Territorial Professional Health Community (CPTS) Toulouse Ouest.
Following the increase in cases of Covid-19 contamination in the Haute-Garonne department, the Colomiers consultation center reopens its doors as of Monday, October 19, 2020.
The objective of this reopening is to relieve the burden on medical practices and to offer more efficient care for symptomatic patients. The reception conditions are maximum in order to take all the precautions. Mr. Simon Mathé, general practitioner and member of the CPTS specifies: “This consultation office is not a screening center, it is a SAS between a medical office and emergencies”.
Consultations are reserved for patients referred by their attending physician in cases where the latter is not able to accommodate them. Consultations are by appointment and must be taken by the attending physician. Patients should not go to the consultation center without an appointment.
Initially, the center is open Monday to Friday, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. until October 30. Depending on the evolution of the epidemic, the CPTS does not rule out extending the opening of the center. Consultations at the screening center are performed in turn by a doctor and a nurse.
The City of Colomiers in partnership with the CPTS ensures security, logistics, provides the premises and takes charge of communication with the population in order to allow doctors to practice in the best conditions and the population to be received safely.
