COBAEZ participates in binational migrant education program
- The government of transformation strengthens knowledge of Mexican history and culture in Zacatecas living in the United States
Zacatecas, Zac., June 22, 2022.- The Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Zacatecas (COBAEZ) was selected by the Binational Migrant Education Program of the Ministry of Education to participate in strengthening initial education for Zacatecan migrants living in the United States.
The call was issued by the Academic Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, whose objective is to teach face-to-face classes on the history, culture, values and traditions of our country, in students of Mexican origin who live in the United States.
For this reason, Master José Eduardo Salcedo Castañeda, from the COBAEZ Atolinga Campus, was selected to participate in the binational program and be in front of a group in the state of Columbus, Nebraska, during the months of June and July of the current year. .
Mirna del Rocío Garza Ramírez, general director of COBAEZ, thanked the Secretary of Education, Maribel Villalpando Haro, and the Undersecretary of Middle and Higher Education, Gizel Llamas, for including the educational institution and promoting it so that its teaching staff participate in programs international, since, thanks to these actions, teachers grow in experience and education.
“Through education we can eliminate territorial borders and promote the Mexican identity in our migrant brothers who live in the United States. For this reason, we will encourage at all times the teachers who meet the requirements of the call and manage to participate in the binational educational effort”, commented the General Director of the Subsystem.
“For the Governor of the State of Zacatecas, David Monreal Ávila, comprehensive education is a central axis of his State Development Plan, since the transformation of the state begins with the strengthening of identity and historical values, which is why it is It is important to include the migrants who have helped so much to bring well-being to our municipalities and communities,” he concluded.
COBAEZ will support communication between US and Mexican teachers at all times so that experiences in educational work can be shared; In addition, it will continue to promote training experiences for Mexican teachers to establish collaboration programs that enrich Mexican schoolchildren in both countries.
