Christian Vachon wins the Kubota Prize and a $ 20,000 scholarship

HONOR. Magogois athlete and benefactor Christian Vachon has just won the 2021 Kubota Community Hero Challenge, a national competition worth a $ 20,000 grant to the Foundation that bears his name.

The architect of the Christian Vachon Foundation was one of the three Canadian finalists in this annual competition aimed at highlighting community actors and organized jointly by the Kubota company and the Canadian Hockey League.

Incidentally, the 2021 winner also wins a trip for two to the CHL / NHL Top Prospects Game Kubota.

The choice of the winner was made from an online vote that ended on November 16.

The other two finalist nominees were Angela Serada (Moose Jaw, Sask.), Founder of the Tru-Unity Girls Leadership program, and Mehari Hagos (Windsor, Ont.), Founder of the MH 100 program for underprivileged youth.

They will each receive a $ 5,000 scholarship to fund the activities of their respective organizations.
