Peaceful Departure

Chris Prendergast (née Foy) of Rosewood, Ballyglass, Claremorris, and later Kinally, Belcarra, passed away peacefully on the 1st of February 2025. Surrounded by her loving family at Cuan Chaitriona Nursing Home in Castlebar, Claremorris, Chris spent her final days in wonderful care, reflecting on a life filled with love and cherished moments.

Family Legacy

Born to Mike and Catherine Foy, Chris was one of two daughters in a family that also included her brother, John, who tragically passed away. She was predeceased by her husband, Ray, and her sisters, Mary (Gavin) and Kathleen (Costello). Chris leaves behind a legacy of love with her nephews, Frank and Gerry, and nieces, Catherine G and Catherine K.

Loving Daughters, Sons, and Grandchildren

Chris will be deeply missed by her heartbroken daughters, Mary (Connor, Belcarra) and Deirdre (Balla), and their partner Padraic. Her sons, Ray (Ballyglass) and Declan (Belcarra), bring her immense pride with their families and their partners Brenda and Imelda. Her nine grandchildren — David, Emma, Nathan, Sean, Dan, Max, Rían, Clodagh, and Derin — embody the joy and fulfillment she brought to their lives.

A Community Remembered

Chris was deeply loved not only by her immediate family but also by her extended family, including her nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbors, and friends. They will continue to be touched by the kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit she exemplified.
