euregio Clinic Awarded Highest Certification for Joint Replacement Excellence

Euregio Clinic Sets New Standards in Endoprosthetic Care

The Euregio Clinic, located in nordhorn, has achieved a significant milestone in orthopedic care. The clinic’s Endoprosthetics Center (EPZ) has been awarded the prestigious EPZMAX certification, signifying its status as an endoprosthetic center of maximum care. This achievement underscores the clinic’s commitment to providing top-tier joint replacement services to patients in the region.

From EPZ to EPZMAX: A Rapid Ascent in Quality

Under the leadership of Dr. Gerrit Beckmann, the Endoprosthetics section initially secured EPZ certification in 2022. Remarkably, within just three years, the clinic has now attained the highest level of certification, EPZMAX. This rapid progression demonstrates the euregio Clinic’s dedication to continuous advancement and adherence to the most stringent standards in endoprosthetic surgery.

This certificate of the maximum care was awarded to our hospital for the first time and confirms the quality of the operations we have carried out. This certificate is only granted when there are strictest criteria and operations of the highest difficulty levels.
Dr. Gerrit Beckmann, Head of Endoprosthetics, Euregio Clinic

Previously, the clinic collaborated with the University Hospital Münster to meet the requirements for EPZMAX certification. This new self-reliant certification highlights the Euregio Clinic’s enhanced capabilities and expertise in handling complex joint replacement cases.

A Holistic Approach to Joint Health

The Euregio Clinic emphasizes a complete approach to patient care, prioritizing conservative therapies whenever possible. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), arthritis affects millions of adults in the United States alone, highlighting the global need for effective joint care. While joint replacement surgery can considerably improve quality of life for individuals with severe osteoarthritis, the Euregio Clinic carefully evaluates each patient to determine the most appropriate treatment plan.

Dr. Beckmann explains that surgery is recommended when progressive osteoarthritis leads to debilitating symptoms and reduced mobility. The EPZMAX at the Euregio Clinic integrates the expertise of various medical and therapeutic disciplines to ensure personalized and optimal treatment strategies.

When patients come to me in the consultation, an operation is not always the first proposal. We usually try to exploit the conservative therapies. However, if a patient suffers from progressive osteoarthritis… then of course an artificial joint is required before the muscles are further reduced and the everyday things of life are no longer possible.

Meeting the growing Demand for Joint Replacements

The Euregio Clinic’s EPZ team has not only achieved EPZMAX certification but has also doubled the number of operations performed in the last four years. this growth is attributed to the dedicated team, which includes orthopedic surgeons Dr. Arthur Sas and Drs. Lucas Degen. The clinic prides itself on offering patients shorter waiting times, advanced diagnostics and therapies, and a selection of state-of-the-art implants.

Commitment to Quality and Patient Care

Clinic manager Michael kamp expressed his satisfaction with the EPZMAX certification, emphasizing the clinic’s commitment to improving treatment quality and long-term outcomes for patients in the Grafschaft Bentheim region. The Euregio Clinic’s achievement reflects its dedication to providing exceptional orthopedic care and enhancing the lives of individuals suffering from joint pain and mobility issues.

The goal of centering within the German hospital landscape is to improve the quality of treatment and the long -term treatment results. I am all the more pleased that we can offer this quality standard of the Grafschaffe population in our house.
