Central Bank of Brazil says bank loans grew 1.2% in May

SAOPAUL, Jun 28 – Loans outstanding in Brazil increased 1.2% in May, to 4.18 trillion reais (843,710 million dollars).

A broad measure of delinquency rates for Brazilian consumers and businesses grew slightly in May, from a multi-year low of 2.9% to 3%.

Bank spreads fell from 22.5 percentage points in April to 21.7 points in May, the central bank reported Monday.
