The dog’s constant barking alerted people, until the body was found on Saturday night. The carabinieri found the body in the house in Ceglie Messapica and the first evaluation made by the 118 staff dates the death to about fifteen days earlier. The man, who was followed by social services and was quite well known in the country, lived with the dog which is now entrusted to a group of volunteers.
