Florence Saint-Cas, director of Innovoo, the Brest CHU’s endowment fund, emphasizes the importance of collective support: The collective project can count, to secure its budget, on the financial support of 120 associations including the Christophe-Caraty challenge. The Christophe-Caraty Challenge: A Handball tournament for a Cause

The Christophe-Caraty challenge will return on August 12, 14, 15, and 16, 2025, across Brest, plougastel-Daoulas, and Landerneau.This year’s charity event promises thrilling competition with six handball teams already confirmed: FC Porto, Dunkirk Grand Littoral, Cesson Rennes Métropole, Fenix ​​Toulouse, Saint-raphaël Var, and Lisbon Sporting Clube from Portugal. The event is a major fundraising opportunity for the association.

Expanding Preventative Care: A New Center for Lung Cancer

Looking ahead,the White Cavale hospital is slated to open an ambulatory medicine prevention center focused on lung cancer in 2026,with an investment of €300,000. This initiative underscores a growing emphasis on preventative care and early detection. Similar centers are planned for Landerneau and Carhaix in the coming years, expanding access to crucial preventative services.
