Among these, acute coronary syndrome are the most serious and life-threatening, and their burden is expected to rise further as the population ages and cancer survival improves.1,2 Compared with the general population, patients with cancer have a higher incidence of acute coronary syndrome events, driven by shared cardiovascular risk factors, the prothrombotic and inflammatory effects of malignancy, and the vascular toxicity of several contemporary treatments.
