In the next academic year, 39 additional education programs will be implemented in 12 municipalities of the Chelyabinsk region.
In the Chelyabinsk region, the number of places in additional education is increasing every year. According to the regional Ministry of Education and Science, 2229 new places in additional education will be opened in 2022. Today, schoolchildren have the opportunity to study free of charge in circles and sections of a wide variety of directions: artistic, technical, sports, natural science, tourism and local history, social and humanitarian.
An important point: it is necessary to apply for participation in additional education programs on time. Most parents think that this is done at the end of the summer. In fact, most centers open enrollment at the end of the school year or at the beginning of the school holidays. Thus, the largest organization in the region, the Regional Center for Additional Education for Children, has already opened registration for free educational programs for the next academic year. They are available for children from 6 to 17 years old as part of the federal project “Success of every child” of the national project “Education”.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Chelyabinsk Region, in the 2022/2023 academic year, the center will implement 39 programs in 12 municipalities of the Chelyabinsk Region. Of these, 26 programs will be available for children in Chelyabinsk.
“Classes for children are held in four areas: natural science, social and humanitarian, tourism and local history and art. The most broad-profile focus is social and humanitarian. It includes the programs “Journalism”, “Yunarmeets”, “Young Search Engine”, “I am a Volunteer”, “Success 2.0” (soft skills), “Self-Presentation of a Leader’s Asset”, – say the specialists of the Regional Center for Additional Education for Children.
For example, the program on “Journalism” will not only introduce the child to the profession, but will also allow them to master the skills of photography, filming and video editing. To do this, the classrooms are equipped with all the necessary equipment: cameras, laptops for editing, spotlights, backgrounds and microphones. Being in front of the camera can be a good practice for future public performances. And this is a useful skill both in school and in any future profession. Another program, Success 2.0, is designed to develop soft skills in a child. We are talking about the general skills of a person in the modern world, which are needed today in almost every profession. For their development, modern interactive equipment, board games, cases are used, with the help of which the child himself will be able to develop his own startup and acquire useful connections and acquaintances.
As part of the natural science focus, young ecologists and young scientists are engaged. In the classroom, children study all areas of ecology: from recycled crafts, where you can give a second life to an old T-shirt, to real scientific discoveries and experiments. To do this, the classrooms are equipped with modern technology: an interactive panel, microscopes, virtual reality glasses, a hydroponic plant, with which children grow vegetables themselves. Students under the program will write real scientific papers based on their research and defend them at Moscow institutes. For example, last year young ecologists from the Chelyabinsk region became winners of all-Russian competitions. Of course, this opens up new opportunities for children when entering universities.
Artistic programs are focused on the development of the child’s personality, his successful adaptation in society and the removal of clamps. Thus, the artistic program “Behind the scenes” includes acting, the basics of stage speech, the basics of dance. Young actors will be engaged in staging pop miniatures, sketches and interludes, learning tongue twisters. Also, the guys will perform monologues and practice in group exercises for emancipation. Students will be able to perform not only on the stage of the regional center, but also on the big stages of the city and the region.
It is clear that in the modern world, children have a lot of workload and sometimes they have to give up their favorite activities. Therefore, in the new academic year, in addition to the usual full-time programs, part-time online programs are also opening. Within their framework, the teacher accompanies online learning, and once a month all the guys meet for a practical session. Upon completion of such a program, the child receives a certificate of the same type as for the completion of the full-time program. The new part-time format will suit both busy high school students and children from remote areas where there are no additional education centers nearby.
The term of study on these programs is from 1 to 2 years. The recording is also available in a remote format on the official website of the regional Center for Additional Education.
