“During the fourth quarter, our Taco Cabana team began implementing a margin improvement plan that we hope to improve the EBITDA margins adjusted at the restaurant level by approximately 200 to 300 basis points in 2020 vs. 2019. The improvement plan for margin includes operations efficiency initiatives in the food and operating expenses categories and the closure of 19 low-performing restaurants in Texas. These closures eliminate all stores with significant losses, which we hope will result in a highly viable restaurant portfolio “Fiesta president and chief executive Richard Stockinger said in a press release.
