LSU National Tigers Championship Team: Dick’s Sporting Goods, Academy

Dick’s Sporting Goods and Academy Sports + Outdoors plan to extend the hours of some of their stores after the Monday night national championship college football game.

Retailers stores in Louisiana planned to reopen after the LSU 42-25 victory over Clemson inside the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The end of the university football season coincided with a couple of previously undefeated teams.

Some Dick stores will open early Tuesday morning with championship equipment.

According to Dick’s, the time that stores remain open after the game depends on customer demand and the discretion of store managers. Some stores will remain open until at least midnight, if not more. Stores will open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

According to the Academy, the doors will reopen just after the end of the fourth quarter and will not be closed until the last customer is served or the products of the championship run out Monday night. Stores will be open during normal hours on Tuesdays from 8 a.m. at 10 p.m.

Dick’s and Academy are also selling championship products that include shirts and hats on their websites. Shortly after LSU’s victory, J.C.
