Huawei technology can be banned from Westminster due to concerns about its "sloppy" security, said the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) technical director.
Dr. Ian Levy said that "security in Huawei is like nothing else – it's engineering as it was in the year 2000 – it's very, very messy and leads to cyber security issues that we have to manage over the long term. It's just a bad technique "
His comments were made in a BBC Panorama documentary, which will be broadcast tonight, about the potential security risks of Huawei hardware discovered by the NCSC, part of GCHQ.
