A popular cream yogurt sold by Lidl and Netto is recalled. For some people there can be a health risk.
Mertingen – Different types of cream yogurt from Zott are recalled for reasons of preventive consumer protection. According to the press release, a small portion of the cream yogurt of strawberry, peach, passion fruit, amarenakers and raspberries in the 150-gram beaker with an expiration date of 28 April 2019 is affected. The press release also states that retailers Lidl and Net The distributed products of Brand Discount are influenced by certain letter codes.
Yoghurts of the recall are influenced in combination with the previous expiry date 28.04.19 and the following letter codes:

All other cream yogurts with the same best-before date are not affected. The batch identification is on the lid of the package.
Popular Yogurt recalled by Zott: The reason can be dangerous for many people
The reason: the product in question suspects that "unbranded" hazelnut, pistachio, almond, egg, wheat gluten may end up in the cream yogurt as a result of pre-production and may pose a health risk to consumers who are allergic to the aforementioned nuts, egg or wheat gluten or suffer from an intolerance ".
Reminiscent popular cream yogurt: consumers can do that now
Furthermore, the press release from Zott SE & Co. KG that people who are not allergic to hazelnut, pistachio, almonds, eggs, or wheat gluten or who are not intolerant can safely consume the product. And: "People with allergies or people intolerant to the allergens listed above must, however, return the affected cream yogurt to the respective Lidl or Net Marken Discount store." Without receiving the proof of purchase, the purchase price will be reimbursed there. All other company products are not affected by the recall.
Time after time, companies call products and food back, because they can have consequences for the consumer. Among those affected in the recent past were, among other things, a pumpkin seed bread sold by Edeka, a frozen product produced by Iglo, and various products sold by Aldi that could have been hit by hard plastic splinters during production. In addition, a popular product was recalled at Aldi because it could contain glass splinters.
