Once again, Amazon is allowing merchants to ship packages with FedEx ground service after a ban of about a month.
Amazon told outside vendors on Tuesday that they can continue working with the sender as FedEx is delivering orders on time.
The e-commerce giant had banned external merchants, who sell more than half of the items on Amazon, from using FedEx land and domestic services for Prime shipments last month due to the operator’s presumed mediocre performance.
The average FedEx transit time for land packages was 2.42 days during the high holiday season, and 18 percent of the packages were delivered early, the company said.
FedEx called Amazon’s decision “good news for our mutual customers.”
