Actress Glenn Close sells a farm in New York for $ 2.75 million

Oscar-nominated actress Glenn Close closed a deal in New York, selling her bucolic farm in Bedford Hills for $ 2.75 million. According to the records, that is $ 850,000 less than the original price requested.

About 40 miles outside of New York City, the 10-acre estate is a breath of fresh air. Meadows, gardens and mature trees fill the grazing grounds, which have a guest cabin, a barn and a playhouse with a loft.

The main house, built in 1910, has four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms at 5,773 square feet. Porches and patios surround the house and join well-preserved living spaces full of vintage carpentry and wide moldings.

There is a dining room with paneled walls, a living room with windows and an office wrapped in bright cherry cabinets. In the spacious kitchen, custom tin ceilings surpass a large island.

Upstairs, the master suite has one of the five fireplaces in the house. It expands to a balcony overlooking the grassy gardens. Below, the lounges surround a pool and spa.

Close, 72, has accumulated three Primetime Emmy awards, three Tony awards, three Golden Globe awards and seven Oscar nominations during his illustrious career dating back to the 1970s. He had notable roles in films such as “Fatal Attraction”, ” The Big Chill “and” 101 Dalmatians “. More recently, he starred in the 2017 movie “The Wife.”

Ginnel Real Estate handled both ends of the agreement.
