This will probably be one of the most powerful April storms in this country, historically. It is very strong for April to be, says Sachosidis – who emphasizes that you are usually done with the storms during the winter months.

Such late-season storms are unusual,as Norway typically sees a decrease in storm activity after the winter months. residents are advised to take precautions and stay informed about weather updates.

Southern Norway: Sunshine and Fire Warnings

Both Western Norway, Southern Norway and eastern Norway have been very nice. In southern Norway and Eastern Norway ther has been no rainfall in a good while. That’s why there is a warning for forest fire.

The dry vegetation from the previous year is highly flammable, and authorities are urging caution to prevent wildfires. As of early April 2025, the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection and Emergency Planning (DSB) has issued several warnings regarding the elevated fire risk in these regions.
