German Deputy Minister for European Affairs Michael Roth urged the UK to show “more sense of reality and pragmatism” in the currently deadlocked negotiations for a post-Brexit deal, in a interview with AFP.

In the interview conducted on Tuesday in Berlin by videoconference, this senior German diplomat also deplores the London executive’s lack of interest “in talking about security and foreign policy issues” with the EU, including the Germany took over the rotating presidency on July 1.
