Yannik Boppart will not soon forget his first in the National League. The 19-year-old striker scored his first goal in the elite and scored the only shot on goal of the session at the end of which Gottéron dominated Langnau 4-3 tb.
The story is beautiful. Landed this season in Friborg from the Bern juniors, Boppart did not miss his big debut in the National League. He allowed Friborg to come back to 1-1 in the 28th minute. He is only the 13th Swiss-licensed player to achieve such a feat since the introduction of the playoffs.
Ajoie folds facing the “Z”
But he didn’t stop there. At the end of a final third full of twists and turns – Friborg led 2-1 then Langnau took the lead – and overtime, Boppart was the only one to score his shot on goal during the fateful session.
Ajoie was unable to repeat the performance which allowed him to defeat Zurich on November 21. For the reception of the “Z”, the Jurassiens were beaten 5-3 and thus conceded an eighth defeat in their last nine matches.
