BLACKPINK is rolling out an Animal Crossing Island to celebrate its fifth anniversary.

K-pop group’s agency YG Entertainment announced the Custom Island earlier today. It will be released on August 6 for fans to enjoy and celebrate the group’s fifth anniversary on August 8.

“BLACKPINK Island colored in pink is coming to you. Are you ready for a trip to BLACKPINK Island? Asks the tweet announcing the promotion. He underlines how the game has become a means of promotion to reach the fans.

In the teaser video below, you can see different areas of BLACKPINK Island.

There is a pink themed DJ booth and what appears to be a merchandising booth. There are also exclusive BLACKPINK inspired outfits for fans to enjoy. The promotion of Animal Crossing Island is also celebrating their film.

BLACKPINK the Movie hits theaters around the world on August 4 and 8. The film celebrates the journey of women throughout, focusing on each member with their stories told through exclusive interviews. Segments include “The Room of Memories” reflecting the past five years and “Beauty” with snapshots of each member.

BLACKPINK debuted five years ago in 2016 with Square One. Their first studio album, The Album, was released in 2020. The band also hosted a virtual live concert for the release of the LP. Rose also released her first solo project R, the second solo LP from a BLACKPINK member. Jelly released her solo album in 2018.


How to get to BLACKPINK Island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

To visit the new island, you will need the Dream Suite address code. The band haven’t released it yet, but here are the step-by-step instructions once you get it.

Visit your house and lie down on your bed. Choose “I want to sleep. »Select« I want to dream ». Connect to the Internet. Enter the dream address code.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch game console. You will need a Switch or Switch Lite to visit the island.
