Binance Charity to Fund Over 30,000 Web3 Education Scholarships in 2023

Binance Charity — the philanthropic arm of the Binance exchange — has announced plans to offer over 30,000 Web3 education scholarships as part of its Binance Scholar Program.

According to an official blog post on the cryptocurrency exchange’s website, Binance Charity revealed that it has processed more than 82,000 Binance Scholars Program applications since the program launched in July 2022.

So far, 67,155 of these applications have been funded, with 36,500 places to be awarded in 2022 and the remaining 30,655 places to be allocated in 2023.

“The response to our Web3 education program has been unprecedented and shows so much interest in learning about blockchain, De-Fi [sic]NFTs, codes, and more,” said Helen Hai, Head of Binance Charity Foundation.

Binance Scholars Program

The Binance Scholars Program serves as a platform to provide interested individuals with the necessary skills, knowledge, and expertise to pursue a career in the web3 space, free of charge.

From paying tuition and pricing fees at top educational institutions to providing job opportunities to gain experience, BSP aims to support participants at every stage of their Web3 career.

To implement the BSP, Binance Charity allocated more than $2.2 million (in BUSD) in 2022 to well-known educational institutions and organizations in Nigeria, Germany, Senegal, Australia, South Africa, France, Cyprus, Ukraine, and Brazil, among other countries.

One of these educational institutions is Utiva Tech School in Nigeria, with which Binance Charity has partnered to fund Web3 education for 50,000 students, while providing 1,000 scholarships for an exclusive one-year intensive training program aimed at helping its participants in Blockchain industry.
