BH: Bus Driver Attempts Murder of Municipal Guard

A 40-year-old bus driver was taken in the act after trying to stab to death a 42-year-old municipal guard, this Monday (10/11), in Bairro Palmares, in Ibirité (MG), in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte.

According to information from the Sabará Municipal Guard, where the victim works, the officer was stabbed five times and was taken to Unimed Betim Hospital, where he remains hospitalized.

The confusion would have started after a traffic dispute. The bus on metropolitan line 1270 (Regina/BH) would have closed the guard’s car in the Barreiro Region, in Belo Horizonte. The chase ended in the company’s garage, at the end of Rua Eliete, in Ibirité, where the crime occurred.

The two men allegedly argued intensely, until the driver grabbed a knife and ran after the guard, who tried to escape. Another driver allegedly placed his foot in front of the victim, causing her to fall, at which point the attacker caught up with her and struck her.

The driver was restrained and arrested. Sabará City Hall was contacted by the report, which is awaiting an update on the health status of the municipal guard.
