Recently, we have witnessed waves of protests in India over controversial remarks manufactured by two politicians of the country’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Get together (BJP) versus the Prophet Muhammad, which were being considered offensive and insulting .
On June 5, the BJP suspended its spokesman Nupur Sharma and expelled an additional BJP politician, Naveen Jindal. On the other hand, Sharma and Jindal also retracted their statements and publicly apologized.
Reactions to these gatherings have stretched over and above India’s borders. Saudi Arabia issued a statement of robust condemnation.
