Barcelona to Salzburg: 16 Men Denied Flight

Almost everyone knows it: the plane is delayed. This was the same during a Eurowings flight from Barcelona to Salzburg on Monday morning, September 8, 2025. 40 minutes late, the machine from Spain was withdrawn. The reason was not with the airline or the aircraft, but on 16 passengers. “We have offloaded some Passengers”, for example, the captain on the plane declared the delay. A Eurowings press spokeswoman reports to the “Salzburger Nachrichten” (SN), especially the outward flight, in which they are said to have behaved inappropriately on Friday.

Spanish police were also switched on

The 16 men in shorts and sometimes also in lederhosen were apparently disadvantageous, the report says. Therefore, the Spanish police also had to move in to transport the group of men out of the plane. Incidentally, it is still open whether the 16 people are generally banned from flying at Eurowings. The decision was “made on board with a view to the flight security of all passengers”, Eurowings continued to the “SN”.
