At Blau-Wei, football is no longer just a man’s business

From the coming season, the “Royal Blues” will enter a promising syndicate with the eight-time champion and six-time cup winner Union Kleinmnchen.

“Football is no longer a man’s business. We don’t want to ignore that either,” said Blau-Wei board member Sargon Mikhaeel and managing director Stefan Reiter. The latter had actively promoted the “Women’s Football Project” with his assistant Stephanie Hller.

“Will develop further”

Union Kleinmnchen, which is currently on the ball in the 2nd league, is also very happy about the new cooperation: “We were very happy when FC Blau-Wei Linz approached us with the idea of a game community. With a strong partner at our side, we want to and will continue to develop, “said chairwoman Christine Holzmller.

The new syndicate will play its matches in the second highest performance class in Austria. Initially in Kleinmnchen, from 2023 at the latest in the new Donauparkstadion. This would also be ideal as a location for the women’s national team. However, there have not yet been any final discussions.
