Anyone vaccinated with Astrazeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine will not be allowed to attend Bruce Springsteen’s Broadway concerts. Because the vaccine is not approved in the USA.

Rock legend Bruce Springsteen will be giving his popular concerts on Broadway in New York from the end of June. Strict rules apply to visitors. All ticket holders aged 16 and over must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, as can be read on the event’s FAQ page. Only three vaccines are accepted: The vaccines from Pfizer / Biontech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson.

Astrazeneca-vaccinated people are unlucky: They are refused entry. According to the site, only FDA-approved vaccines are accepted. The Astrazeneca vaccine is not one of them. This is likely to be a problem, especially for fans who are traveling from abroad and cannot show a vaccination with one of the three accepted vaccines.

“Why, because the US is omniscient?”

A particularly large number of visitors will also come from neighboring countries, such as Canada. Astrazeneca is an approved vaccine there. That’s why some of the 1.2 million fans who follow Springsteen there have already complained on Instagram. For example, under the musician’s most recent post, someone wrote: “Bruce, let those Canadians who wanted to be vaccinated and whose only choice was Astrazeneca come to you on Broadway. Don’t let the FDA keep your fans away! Please!” Another person railed, “What about the vaccine requirements? Is that Bruce? Or his people? Ridiculous! Why because the US is omniscient?” So far there has not been an answer from the singer.

After all, those who made it into the hall no longer have to keep any gaps between the seats. There is also nothing to be read on the site about a mask requirement. The show “Springsteen on Broadway” runs from June 26th to September 4th at the St. James Theater in New York. For the first time, “The Boss” played its Broadway concerts in 2017, each of which sold out in a very short time. Springsteen appears solo and tells anecdotes from his life between the songs. His wife Patti Scialfa was also a guest in many shows.
