The Asta’folk festival returns for three days dedicated to folk music in all its forms, from August 12 to 14, with a cinema screening on the 11th as a preview.
Dances, songs, music… all the folk has an appointment in Astaffort from August 12 to 14. The Asta’folk festival is back and the program promises rich moments.
Of course, Gascony will be in the spotlight, but not only because regionalist traditions like to open up to all the others. Thus, we will hear tunes from Brittany, Auvergne, Poitou…
The day before the opening of the festival, Thursday 11 at nightfall, in the open air on Place André-Routier, the film “Le Grand Bal” will be screened and will set the tone for these three days. A concert at the Music’Halle on Friday with violin, bagpipes, diatonic accordion; another on Saturday in the Sainte-Geneviève church with polyphonic songs from the Mediterranean Alps. Balls at the Music’Halle from 9 p.m. on all three evenings, and if you don’t know how to dance, we’ll teach you! Finally courses for musicians who want to improve, in particular with Philippe Marsac, dances, songs, accordion, violins.
The appointment is unmissable, places are to be reserved online on the Hello Asso website or on site.
