From Cappuccino to culinary Fusion: A Shift in Langenstrasse

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee will soon fade from Langenstrasse as Café Woyton prepares to serve its final cappuccino and kale stew next Monday. However, the location won’t remain vacant for long. BREPARK, the property owner, has announced that Soulm8, a popular Asian restaurant already established in the Katharinenpassage, will take over the space on June 1st, ushering in a new era of culinary diversity.

Soulm8’s Vision: Asian Flavors and a Quick Lunch Concept

Hendrik Kuo, co-founder of Soulm8, envisions a second gastronomic hub in Bremen, strategically located near the Presshaus car park. While the exact opening date remains under wraps, Kuo anticipates a “soft opening” by mid-July. The new establishment aims to offer a diverse menu of Asian cuisine, wiht a particular focus on catering to the lunchtime crowd with options like pasta soups and sushi. Unlike the original Soulm8, this location will operate from 12 PM to approximately 9 PM, targeting those seeking a swift yet satisfying meal.

We take over on June 1 and are planning a so-called soft opening for mid-July.

The decision to expand to Langenstrasse was prompted by BREPARK, who recognized Soulm8’s potential and extended the opportunity. Kuo, impressed by the location’s features, including its expansive windows and high ceilings, quickly embraced the idea, stating, We do that.

Langenstrasse’s Evolution: A Promising Location for Gastronomic ventures

Kuo had been actively seeking a second location for some time, drawn to the architectural appeal of the new space. He dismisses any concerns about inheriting the former Woyton location, emphasizing the ongoing revitalization of Langenstrasse. The Langenstrasse is currently developing, there is a great mix with a lot of walk -in customers. We are glad that we have found a property there, Kuo stated, highlighting the area’s growing appeal and foot traffic.

Soulm8 prides itself on offering Asian delicacies in a tapas-style format, encouraging diners to sample and share a variety of dishes. The menu extends beyond tapas to include dim sum, noodle soups, bowls, and sushi, catering to a broad range of palates. The new location will prioritize quick service, appealing to customers seeking a convenient and flavorful meal on the go.

BREPARK’s Optimism: A Perfect Match for Langenstrasse’s Future

Darja Koch, representing BREPARK’s public relations, expressed enthusiasm for the new partnership, stating, We are happy to have found a suitable successor at short notice. While acknowledging that the location presents unique challenges compared to areas with higher pedestrian traffic, BREPARK remains confident that Soulm8’s innovative concept will resonate with the community.

The transition from Café Woyton to Soulm8 signifies a dynamic shift in Langenstrasse’s culinary landscape, promising a vibrant blend of flavors and experiences for residents and visitors alike. As Bremen continues to evolve, this new venture reflects the city’s commitment to embracing diverse culinary offerings and fostering a thriving gastronomic scene.
