Mikel Arteta’s troops next face Sporting CP. The Portuguese club managed to beat Bodo/Glimt 5-0, after losing 0-3 in the first leg.

“We are now playing against the best teams, entering a crucial phase of the competition, and this will be very difficult. We expect the teams to attack us aggressively, so we will be ready to face whatever comes our way,” said Declan Rice as quoted on the UEFA website.

Last season, Sporting CP was beaten by Arsenal 5-1 in the league phase. At that time Viktor Gyokeres was still at Sporting CP, had not yet moved to Arsenal.

“It’s completely different (from last season, when Arsenal won there in the league phase). I watched the first half of their game and they are a top team. It will be very difficult,” said Arteta.
