The Local Government Board of Gandia has approved this week the project of execution of the rainwater deposit of “Clot de la Mota”, on the beach of Gandia, which is undoubtedly considered the most ambitious work of the last decade in the city in terms of flood prevention. The performance has a budget close to 9 million euros.

This has been announced by Mayor of Gandia, Diana Morant, who has remarked that this deposit, with 11,000 cubic meters of capacity, has to solve problems like flooding from the historic center of the beach, improve the pollution control by avoiding the discharge of untreated water into the natural environment in episodes of ordinary rainfall, in addition to providing service to the new beach equipment PAI.

It’s about the hydraulic infrastructure with more capacity on the Gandia beach, It almost doubles the volume of the last large tank built, which, with a useful volume close to 6,000 m³, was carried out in the Plaza de Navarra in 2008.
