Even though Anthem’s famous redesign still doesn’t have a release date, it looks like the project is moving forward on BioWare’s premises. Indeed, after having disclosed on July 27 the arrival of the Pirates of the Blood Wind faction, the Canadian studio reviews in detail the various novelties brought by its future major update.
Loot, a system often criticized by players ofAnthem, will be drastically modified when the redesign is published, this is in any case what the studio declares in a blog post available on their official website. Indeed, the developers of the game announce that they have increased the frequency of loot, but also the effectiveness of the latter. With the overhaul, therefore, players will have a better chance of obtaining rare weapons. Also to facilitate the taking of loot, we also learn that the quests will present in advance the various rewards to be unlocked or that it will be possible to acquire specific loot by purchasing them directly from a Specialized Supplier. The revamp will also feature rare enemies called “walking treasure chests”, which when slaughtered, like the gnomes of the saga Golden Axe on MegaDrive, will deliver many rewards.
To finish with the spoils, BioWare also declares to have improved the equipment sheets by presenting in particular detailed statistics. The studio also announces that it has made everything much more accessible by allowing, for example, to equip a weapon found on the ground directly, instead of having to go through the different menus, and by offering an inscription called “budget” based on power and the scarcity of equipment.
Of course, BioWare is also dedicated to improving feelings in the game. During its overhaul, the clashes will therefore be reviewed and corrected in order to always offer more sensations. According to the developers, enemies will be much more responsive and react according to your attacks.
