A total of 14 health workers died from June 22 to 28 “with criteria for covid-19”, bringing the number of members of that union who have died since the start of the pandemic rose to 683, reported this Tuesday the NGO Doctors United Venezuela.

“Report of June 28, information is received of 14 new deaths of health personnel with criteria for covid-19, to reach 683 deaths,” the NGO denounced in its account Twitter in which he emphasizes that Madurismo has reported 3,084 Venezuelan deaths so far since the start of the pandemic.

Faced with this situation, the organization stressed that “the death of health personnel” in Venezuela is “at the pace of winners” and “without a control strategy.”

Among the deceased are five surgeons, six nurses, a bioanalyst, a dentist and a union leader, the organization said. He reiterated that his reports “are based on clinical, epidemiological, radiodiagnostic and laboratory criteria.”

He also explained that their numbers “are not necessarily included in the official reports”, so they publish these lists “with the aim of preventing staff and avoiding failures.”

Lara state (3) heads the list with the most deceased health personnel in these seven days, followed by Zulia (2), Bolívar (2), Falcón (2), Portuguesa (1), Nueva Esparta (1), Caracas ( 1), Carabobo (1) and Guárico (1).
