PORTRAIT – You don’t know him, but if you go to see Iggy Pop, Patti Smith or Carla Bruni in concert, it’s thanks to him. This autodidact who organized his first event at the age of 15 has become a legend in the entertainment world.
“I don’t even have my baccalaureate”, says Alain Lahana. The Toulouse-born man, back from a tour with Iggy Pop before hitting the road again with Patti Smith and then with Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, receives guests in his Paris offices. Sparkling, with a curly gaze, he evokes an astonishing journey. His job is not like the others: he organizes the tours of the stars, in France, but also sometimes abroad.

His clients are not the least: for more than 40 years, he has taken care of Genesis, Phil Collins, David Bowie, Tears For Fears, Sade, INXS, Marianne Faithfull, REM, Depeche Mode, Henri Salvador during his come -back, Radiohead, Carla Bruni, Iggy Pop, Patti Smith and many more. Except when things went wrong, all remained faithful to him. Because Lahana, even if the nature of his activity is complex, works like a craftsman and builds relationships of trust with those he takes on the road.
