As the entry into provisional prison of Jose Luis Ábalos, Pedro Sánchez‘s former number two in the PSOE, and Koldo García became more imminent, both have been approaching media outlets traditionally hostile to their political careers, their profiles and even their person. In them, they have been releasing headlines about alleged illegalities committed in the party that they have supposedly witnessed, although they have not presented any evidence. The culmination of this strategy has been interviews, on the eve of entering prison, sharing intimate feelings with some of the journalists who had attacked them the most until now.
Why do they do this? What good is it to them now? With Alberto Pozas, journalist from elDiario.es specialized in Courts, we try to decipher what is behind this strategy. With Irene Castro, who follows the Government’s current affairs, we learn how these insinuations and accusations are received in La Moncloa at the gates of a new electoral cycle.
