The Ministry of Finance authorized Ecopetrol to contract an internal loan for up to 700,000 million with Banco Davivienda, under the non-rotating committed line modality.
According to a company statement, The term of the credit will be five years from the date on which the first disbursement occurs. The variable interest rate will be indexed to the IBR.
According to resolution 2691 of October 21, 2025 issued by the MinHacienda, The credit resources will be used for different investment expenses, in accordance with the oil company’s financing plan.
“The Ministry of Finance authorized the terms of the minutes that provide for events of default by the borrower such as non-timely payment of capital and interest, the eventual impact on the borrower’s payment capacity.the impact on the integrity of its financial information, and the failure to comply with contractual duties, among others,” the statement says.
The agreement with Davivienda states that if any of the non-payment events materialize, theThe financial institution would have the right to demand payment of the debt in advanceaccording to the procedure provided for in the contract.
“The loan minutes establish Ecopetrol’s right to appeal against the lenders when they do not make the disbursements in the terms described in the minutes.“says the contract.
