Primal Fear Riga: Concert Details & Palladium Show Guide

by Archynetys Entertainment Desk

German power metal band Primal Fear will perform their first concert in Latvia in the Palladium concert hall on March 28. “Well, the group, which has accumulated almost 30 years of experience and released 15 studio albums, will delight the Riga audience with juicy guitar riffs, a galloping rhythm and the powerful vocals of soloist Ralf Schippers,” promises the concert agency “L Tips Agency”.

“Primal Fear” and “Palladium” – we have to admit that this is quite an ambitious application, because this group is not that popular in our country. This can be corrected, because the concert program was created in such a way as to introduce the listeners to the best pieces of the album “Domination” released a month and a half ago (“The Hunter”, “Tears of Fire”, “Destroyer”, “I Am the Primal Fear”, “Hallucinations”), and to go through the hit catalog accumulated over the years, from which we can mention such songs as “The End Is Near”, “Chainbreaker”, “Metal Is Forever”, “Seven Seals”, “King of Madness”, “Running in the Dust”, “Nuclear Fire”, etc.

“Primal Fear” was founded in Esslingen in 1997 by Ralf Schipers (vocals) and Mats Sinner (bass guitar, vocals), already quite experienced in the field of metal music – previously Ralf even sang in a band like “Gamma Ray“, but Mats has a band “Sinner” since 1982, and he also participated in such projects as “Silent Force”, “Level 10” etc. The band’s debut album, released in 1998, ranked in the German Top 50, which is one of the highest debut scores for a metal band in this country. Since then, 15 studio albums, two selections and two concert albums have been released, of which the ninth album “Unbreakable”, released in 2012, has achieved the greatest commercial success.

When asked about the Domination album, Mats Sinner says: “When we got to the recording studio, we already had about 25 compositions to choose from. A real luxury problem! Especially when you see what ended up being selected.”

The band members are excited about the Domination tour, which has already started: “It’s going to be an incredible adventure! We’re going to create something really special together, both in the studio and live, and we’re so grateful to be able to share this journey with all of you metalheads! Metal is forever!”
