“The Wolverine” star Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have officially ended their marriage, two years after initially announcing an amicable separation.

Furness officially filed the divorce paperwork in New York on Friday.

With all filings processed, the divorce awaits only a judgeS signature to be finalized. A representative for Furness has not yet responded to requests for comment.

In a joint statement released in September 2023, the former couple stated, “Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.” Thay added that they felt “blessed” to have spent nearly three decades together in a “wonderful, loving marriage.”

The statement continued, “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”

Relationship Timeline and Recent Events

Jackman, known for his roles in “Logan” and “Les Misérables,” has recently been linked to Sutton Foster, his co-star in “Music Man.”

Furness, 69, and Jackman, 56, were married in 1996 and have two children. They adopted their son, Oscar, in 2000 and later announced the birth of their daughter, Ava, in 2005.

In 2018, Jackman told People, “My kids are constantly reminded about how lucky we are in our family. We’re ridiculously blessed. We live in a lovely home in places that other people dream of.”

The couple’s last public appearance together was at the Wimbledon men’s final in July 2023, and they were also seen at the Met Gala red carpet in May of the same year.
