Just six years ago, the Nationals clinched a World Series victory. While the roster has undergone significant changes, with the star of that team no longer on the roster, the Nationals are setting their sights on a wild card berth and beyond. Inspired by the 2024 Mets’ strategy, the Nationals have embraced a “prove it” approach, signing Josh Bell, Amed Rosario, and Jorge Lopez to one-year deals. These new players will have to deliver strong performances to secure long-term contracts in the offseason. Adding to this mix is the veteran Nathaniel Lowe, bringing valuable experience to the team.

The Nationals’ success hinges on the growth of their young stars: CJ Abrams, James Wood, and Dylan Crews. These players are considered among the best young talents in baseball.
