62 athletes of Luhansk region will receive regional scholarships

Serhiy Gaidai has appointed regional scholarships to 62 athletes of the Luhansk region.

This is reported by the Eastern version with reference to the LOGA.

This is stated in the order of the chairman of the Luhansk regional state administration – the regional military-civil administration of June 29, 2021 No. 430 “On the appointment of a regional scholarship to promising and leading athletes of the Luhansk region in the second half of 2021”

According to the document, 13 leading athletes from the national teams of Ukraine in Olympic sports are provided with a regional scholarship in the amount of 3502 hryvnia.

Among them, a participant in the 2016 Olympic Games in athletics, participants and prize-winners of the European and World Championships in weightlifting, diving, cycling, winners and prize-winners of the European championship in artistic gymnastics.

Promising athletes of the Luhansk region in Olympic sports will receive scholarships for 1,642 hryvnia. These are 32 residents of the region who won prizes at the all-Ukrainian championships – in weightlifting, diving, cycling, table tennis, artistic gymnastics, Greco-Roman wrestling, athletics.

The regional scholarship in the amount of 2846 hryvnia is intended for five leading athletes from the national teams of Ukraine in non-Olympic sports – winners, prize-winners and participants of the world championships in powerlifting, bodybuilding, classic bench press, wrestling sambo.

Four leading athletes with disabilities will receive 3502 hryvnia each. These are the winners and prize-winners of the Deaflympics in football, karate, athletics.

For 1642 hryvnia regional scholarships were awarded to eight promising athletes with disabilities. Among them are the winners and prize-winners of the championships of Ukraine in athletics, swimming, powerlifting.
