Andrea Berg and her team did it: The background choir, which will be on stage with the singer on July 29th and 30th at her big anniversary show “30 Years Andrea Berg”, has been selected. The campaign, which started in May and was aimed at young people between the ages of 16 and (inclusive) 18 years old with experience as a singer in a choir, band or music club, attracted more than 250 interested people from the advertised throughout the region. Andrea Berg’s marketing team reports an enormous response, which the organizers are pleased about.
TV recording “Giovanni Zarrella presents: 30 years of Andrea Berg”
The jury from Bergrecords and afm consulting GmbH have had a busy few days, after all, all the application documents, singing samples and videos that were to be sent had to be viewed and evaluated. “There were a lot of good talents, which surprised us, but of course made us happy,” says PR & Marketing Manager Sebastian Gehring.
The 30 selected participants, who have already found out about their luck and have been informed, will take part in the music video for the still secret surprise title and will then form Andrea Berg’s background choir at the big 30-year show on July 29th and 30th in Aspach – and can therefore also be seen in the TV recording “Giovanni Zarrella presents: 30 years of Andrea Berg” on August 6 at 8:15 p.m. on ZDF, ORF and SRF.
Eventful summer concert in Aspach
There is great anticipation on the part of everyone – both Andrea Berg, who can also adjust her voice to the choir, as well as the 30 young people who already know the refrain of the still secret title and are allowed to rehearse it.
But not only with the performance the young singers have an unforgettable experience in Aspach, the show promises to be an eventful summer concert. With the song title “I’d do it again!” Andrea Berg looks back on her career and has therefore fulfilled a big wish: a new album with many friends and a big party in Aspach. Giovanni Zarrella, Maite Kelly, DJ Ötzi, Kerstin Ott, Al Bano, Semino Rossi, Nik P., Nino de Angelo and other international stars have recorded songs together with Andrea Berg especially for the new album “I would do it again”. And of course most of them are there live at the show.
A newcomer in Germany, the US singer and songwriter Justin Jesso, will also perform, as will the DJ and music producer duo Stereoact and Andrea Berg’s close and long-standing friends, “die Höhner” from Cologne. A few surprise guests are still being kept secret at this point. But there is still a bit to go before we can reveal one or the other artist, says Sebastian Gehring with a laugh.
What should not be forgotten: the traditional home game
It should not be forgotten, however, that Andrea Berg will be celebrating her 15th home game in the “Wirmachen-Druck” arena exactly two weeks before the anniversary show, on July 15th and 16th (with the Berg Festival on Sunday as used). According to the organizer, both evenings are sold out. It will be the first time for the musician after the Corona pandemic that she will perform in front of such a large audience – more than 30,000 fans will travel to Aspach that weekend. Last year, the musician had offered a home game “of a special kind” under pandemic conditions and under scientific observation (we reported) and made the fans happy.
