WHAT IS THE SCHOLARSHIP REVIEW?

The State Free Boarding and Scholarship Exam is an annual scholarship exam held in Turkey. Candidates who pass the exam are eligible for a scholarship or boarding school education if they comply with the rules.

Scholarships are awarded to students who meet the announced quota in the exam that students in 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade take each year. It was decided to give scholarships to 60,000 students this year.

The basic rule for receiving the scholarship is that the annual per capita income is below the set limit. In other words, scholarships are not awarded to those who are in reasonable condition. However, this does not apply to teachers and veterans’ children.

The free boarding school scholarship is a class-based differentiated scholarship. However, the only way to win this scholarship is by getting a high score on the given exam.

HOW IS THE SCHOLARSHIP REVIEW VALUE?

The IOKBS score of the students who took the exam, according to the following process steps
is being computed.

a. Each student’s answer sheet is read with an optical reader.

b. The number of right and wrong answers is determined for each of the tests related to the courses in which questions are asked in IOKBS.

c. For each test, one-third of the number of incorrect answers is subtracted from the number of correct answers to obtain the raw scores that correspond to the valid answers. Thus, four different raw scores are calculated for each student.
