A fever is measured at the entrance. This is one of several measures by which the amusement park “Walt Disney World” reopened its doors for the first time in four months on Saturday amid rising coronavirus infections in Florida. With a limited number of visitors and the obligation to wear a mask, as well as the call to keep away, the company claims to be able to keep the risk of infection under control. Initially, two areas went into operation – further theme parks are to follow on Wednesday. The entire Walt Disney World amusement park is as large as the New York City borough of Manhattan. The United States is the most severely affected by the corona pandemic worldwide. Around 3.2 million infections have been detected so far, and almost 135,000 infected people have died. The virus is currently spreading particularly in the southern and western states. Florida had more than 10,000 new infections on Saturday alone.
